Constructed from wood and nicely finished. It has lots of storage areas and spins freely. It arrived ready to set up and sure beats the plastic things you usually see. I recommend this item.

I use colored pencils as a art medium and needed a way to organize them. This is a wonderful organizer. However, since it is so sturdy and well built (heavy), it is not necessarily really portable, but I can take it from room to room or carry it outside. It speins very smoothly and I anticipate it will last a long time. It is the best product for the need that I had and I am very glad I purchased it.
