Does anybody know of a programmable home diecutter that can cut scrapbooking foam?
So far I’ve found the funtime scrapbooking pro diecutter, but it only cuts paper and cardstock. I’m looking for something that will allow me to program in my own designs, but that will cut thicker media, such as that scrapbooking foam (not sure what it’s called). Any help would be greatly appreciated!

There’s an expensive machine called a CAD machine that factories use. The software is used to design it and the $ 50,000 machine has a electronic arm which can trace around the design as well as cut any fabric. Sorry I’ve not hear of anything you can uses at home except a electric wire cutter found in $ 2 shops. They are used to cut polystyrene. Good luck!

Hello everyone! this is just a quick view of my popup scrapbook. i made this a while ago but never had time to upload it. I used my cricut and images i found on the internet. As some of you know, i gave up scrapbooking a while back, but i could’nt keep away so i had to do something and this popup book was the closes thing i could do without speeding much money on all the scrapbook stuff. So this mini album may seem plain!! I hope you guys enjoy it and that it inspire you all to go make one. I am sorry that i wont be able to do a tutorial on it =(. but there are lots of other utube videos that can show you how to make a popup book. thanks for watching.

How do I go about opening my own scrapbooking store?
I am looking into opening a scrapbooking/paperie in my home town. I think that we could really beneift from a place to buy scrap supplies and we don’t have anything like a paperie here. I am stuck, however, where do I start? How do I start? Any suggestions, websites, books…I should look into? Thanks

Before you do anything else, write out a business plan. Include where you will get your supplies, how much you will charge, how much your supplies will cost, what you store will look like, what it will be called, what the label design will be, and so on. Then you have to find a location. This is really the hardest part. You need to find one where lots of potential customers will go, and you won’t lose any due to not being in a convinent place. Choose a place in a shopping center with lots of stores that people go to (ie, a grocery store) that way you’ll have more customers and make a higher profit. Once you have a place figured out, you need to set your plan into action. Fix up your store and order your supplies. Then advertise- put up flyers everywhere you can think of and put coupons in the paper for 20% off your first purchase! You will start to get tons of customers and your store will spread by word of mouth. Try this link to find some books for entreperneurs and small business owners:

Where can I find acetate sheets for scrapbooking?
I want to try using acetate sheets for making invitations and for general scrapbooking thigs but I cant seem to find those acetate sheets. Is there something else that can be used that will have the same effect as the acetate?

Around here we have specility craft stores that carry just about any scrapbooking supplies. You can also try scrapbook.com .. they have a store there and you can ofder them. Or try e-bay. sometimes you can find them there too.

Fiskars is always a good choice. I like the big desk top models.(#95807097) I find it is easier to cut a 12×12 sheet of paper. The scallop blade gives a very nice cut. This desk top model uses a rotary blade. There is a deckle blade too.
For a smaller, more portable one try Provo Craft-It is bright lime green and pink. It holds the paper firmly when cutting and it costs less than most brands.

Getting a rotary blade allows you to change your blade to other styles.
