I’m Looking For Relatively Inexpensive Scrapbooking Supplies. Anyone Know Anywhere (that Isn’t Ebay)?
I really love scrapbooking but as of late have hit a slight cash flow problem and am wondering if anyone knows of anywhere to find supplies that are quite cheap?
I already recycle everything I can use.
If you have an AC Moore by you almost every week they have a 40% off coupon in their ads that you can use on a regularly priced item at the store. Every once in a while they have a 50% off coupon. On Moonlight Madness days they give you 25% off your entire order. You can sign up to get their ads emailed to you (and can print several coupons from the ad and use one day).
Wal-Mart frequently puts various scrapping supplies in their craft clearance section.
If you have a local scrapping store, they may offer you the use of their scrapping room for a low cost or for free. Most of these rooms have die cutters, scissors, etc. for use while you are there. A great way to get to use some things that may be costly to purchase.
If you have a local craft supply store keep and eye on their sales as you can get items on a bargain there.
There are some groups on Yahoo that are for craft supplies where people sell their old supplies (used or new) that they no longer want/need. Just do a search there for craft sale or scrapping sale, etc.
I got a bazillion (ok, well ten) at JoAnn Fabrics. They were on sale for about $3 a piece. They look really nice and they’re good quality. Now I just have to scrap my entire life! :)
check your local Joann’s if you have one, if it is a Joann’s etc. then there is probably a section of scrap booking items that are only $1 each! paper goes on sale a lot at Joann’s as well (6 sheets for $0.96!) check your flyer, or sign up to be a preferred customer at the store or even sign up for special coupons you can have e-mailed to you and then print.
The dollar store, dollar tree and wal-mart
Michaels are cheap, walmart has them, target is a little more expensive, kmart has them, just about every retail store has them. Don’t buy from walgreens they are soo expensive. Martha stewart just can out with a new line at Michaels. The dollar store material is REALLY cheap and cheap looking and I don’t think you want that for your own scrapbook, maybe a child’s.
Guess What? I am not sure what area you are in, but Dollar Tree (which is a chain of dollar stores) has a whole scrapbooking section now. I have been purchasing them for awhile and now, when I go I see mulitple people doing the same thing.

THE DOLLAR TREE !
They have an isle just for thier scrapbooking supplies. I was actually impressed. Paper, stickers, punches, books, sticky dots…the whole nine yards.
Big Lots, or Odd Lots they sell the stuff for 25 cents and up
nothing is usually over a dollar.
dollar tree store, one dollar each, check paper etch at joanns and michaels when they have sales, and look through walmarts mark down shelf too.
gregslist.com
yahoo freecycle and craigslist might help
Wal Mart’s good & cheap… but it depends on your definition of inexpensive.
Visit your local Dollar Tree Everything’s a $1 stores. You will be surprised by what you can find there. Really good scrapbooking supplies, peel and stick headlines and alphabets, specialty papers, photo frames, embellishments.
I visit 2 or 3 stores local to me, and go about every 2-3 months. I am super stocked – I have so much stuff, I don’t even have the time to use it all!
Have fun!
