Q&A: How could I make a homemade scrapbook the fastest and easiest way?

How could I make a homemade scrapbook the fastest and easiest way?
With simple materials that I could buy at the local store? But it will still look as great as a regular scrapbook.

Hallmark makes “Instant Scrapbook” kits. They come with everything you need..and it’s all coordinated. Very fast, easy and they look great when you finish. I got one for my grandmother to do because she doesn’t have all the pricey tools. They come in a lot of different themes.

There are also “almost finished” page kits you can buy. All coordinated…fast and easy. Then you choose an album you like and stick them in.
You might also consider a digital scrapbooking program. I like my fingers to get messy and love all my paper and tools, but digi works for a lot of people. The programs are great now! You have so many choices and you just drag and drop your photos in…then print. The newest programs even use drop shadows, so it looks 3-D. I have seen some layouts displayed and had to touch them to see if they were printed or if they were traditional.
If you’re looking for something that will save you money (I can’t really tell from the question) and want to use alternative products from what would be considered as “scrap booking”, that’s a little harder. When I scrapbook, I want anything that comes in contact with my photos to be acid free. So, if you are using original photos, you’d want to make sure your non-traditional papers met that criteria. Same with the adhesive. You can easily make your own embellishments and I have seen some really cute things that were made from “scraps” (hence the name scrap booking) of stuff from leftover household items. With a little creativity, you can make some great looking pages without buying a bunch of stuff in the craft store. If you have a computer and printer, you can print anything you want onto cardstock..Cut them out and you have instant embellishments and titles and Journaling.
Have you seen paper bag scrapbooks? Paper bags aren’t acid free, but if you were using duplicate photos…they make a cool looking album. There are lots of ways to put one together. Here’s one that uses lunchbags: http://www.craftbits.com/project/brown-paper-bag-scrapbook-album-basic
Google the term if you like how they look and you can find more info.
